A Poem

Looks like there are poem topics here, so I'll start one, too.

More of a kid type poem:
There is a place past the oceans I know
Past the islands and forests and marshes we go
Where candles are lit with the whitest of fire
Or with any color that you would desire
It could stay spring or winter or fall
Or not really have a season at all
The snow could be fake
Or it could be flakes
In the wonderful place I know

This mystical place that is somewhere
Is the greatest of all finds
Because this place is right there
In the wonder that is your mind.

I've never been amazing at creating poetry.

It helps if you don't vary the number of syllables per line too much. You ended it on a nice note, though, and you didn't recycle any rhymes, so I'd say it's not too bad.
